Something came to me today….I haven’t made a resolution for the New Year yet. I have one now. Instead of saying “I” so much, I’m going to start always saying “we.” Because no matter what, it’s never just “I” anyway. It’s Jesus and me, so that’s a “we!” Continue reading
Are my Words Really That Important?
I guess not, if you don’t care what happens in your life.
First, I’d like to lay out the basis for the argument that our words DO matter. Jesus said they matter and that we would be judged for every idle word we speak. I do not think that was just an ‘idle” threat. (te he!) Matthew 12:36 There are various interpretations about what constitutes “idle” words, but for now, I am not going to discuss that.

What Happened to My Sin Nature?
The strength of sin is the law. I Cor. 15:56. Salvation takes us away from the legalistic “husband” (the law, that can only point out what is wrong with us, but never lifts a finger to help us) and marries us to another, Jesus Christ, a husband of grace and mercy who is always available and willing to help. We are now free to hear the Holy Spirit direct our lives and tell us what to do. Continue reading
Finding His Will
To find the will of God for your life, one simply MUST be a student of the bible, the Word of God. I Cor. 2:11 says “What person perceives (knows and understands) what passes through a man’s thoughts except the man’s own spirit within him? Just so, no one discerns (comes to know and comprehend) the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.” (Amplified Bible) Continue reading
Resigned to/Embracing the Will of God
We can know the will of God for our lives. God is not withholding anything from us. It may seem sometimes that He is, but I don’t believe that He is. Jesus said He spoke in parables to those who were on the outside. Parables are veiled language, or allegories. It may be a story that points to a spiritual truth. To those who were on the “inside,” Jesus said He would speak plainly. God desires to share the truths of the kingdom with us. He desires us to know His ways and to find His plan for our lives. A Few Things I’ve Learned Along the Way
When you read the bible, you need the Holy Spirit’s help. I remember reading the book of Job when I was seeking God, but not quite there yet. 33 plus chapters and Job just seemed to have so much self-pity. (By that time, I had learned how to recognize that.) I grew bored with the book and set it aside, not to return for some time… Continue reading
Becoming The Bride of Christ
I had to make a long drive out of town this weekend, so I started listening to teaching cds from the teacher who died in the plane crash, Myles Munro. The series is on creation and the book of Genesis. He has wonderful revelation on the first two chapters of Genesis. I have received much light from it. Continue reading
Hearing God
Oh my. Joseph Prince never fails to WOW me! I have lots of half hour messages from him recorded and yesterday decided to play one in the morning while getting ready for work. Are you ready for this one? Continue reading
A Tale of Two Lambs
To those who know the story of Jesus’ death on the cross as payment for the sins of the world, my book might seem redundant. The story is told through a group of barnyard animals and Farmer Dave. The story was originally read to a class of 3-5-year-olds. It is probably 3rd grade level reading. So many supernatural things happened along the way to getting it published. To find out some of them, see this post from October 21. And God is so amazing! I realized new insights about the story as I worked on the book! Continue reading
