Nehemiah 4:6—“So we built the wall, and the entire wall was joined together up to half its height, for the people had a mind to work.”
Yesterday I was reading an article by a woman who has been on the front lines of fighting for the integrity of our nation for the past ten years. After the disappointing midterms, she said she felt like giving up and quitting, wondering why she had worked so hard, just to not see the results she desired. I forget the name of the organization, but many might recognize it. She ended her post by realizing she could not quit…she could not give up and get out of the war for the soul of the country.
The above scripture came to my mind from the book of Nehemiah….”…for the people had a mind to work.”
I believe we are seeing this happening right now in our nation…the people have a mind to work. The Nehemiah scripture describes a time in Israel’s history when the people of Israel came back to Jerusalem to rebuild the ruins of their capital city. There was much opposition to the idea from others living there as they began the work; there were even plots to kill them, but a strategy was put in place and the work continued in the face of great odds. The people had a mind to work, the scripture says.
Everywhere in our country, people are rising up and pushing back against the rapidly approaching ruination of our nation, defying the moral rot that seems poised to take it down. The public school system is under assault with the godlessness of “transgenderism” and racist teaching known as CRT. Parents are rightly outraged and pushing back. The people have a mind to work, and so they are running for school boards and turning the tables on compromisers and posers, the yes-men and those who dare to undermine by stealth the rights of parents to raise their children in the manner they see fit. Don’t mess with the children. Covid lockdowns helped them wake up.
People are coming from everywhere to run for local, state, and federal elections. We have seen warriors coming to the frontlines everywhere during the midterms. During the covid “pandemic,” we saw doctors and others in the medical community risk everything to step up and publicly challenge the only allowable public narrative that came from the government and our medical institutions, amplified by the bullhorn of the mainstream media. The people have a mind to work, to challenge the bullies who are our increasingly tyrannical “rulers and experts.” The people are out there making noise, protesting, bringing lawsuits, writing books and columns, making videos to get the message out to the masses, as the vaccine injuries pile up after the entire nation was told they were “safe and effective.” It’s all getting noticed. The people have a mind to work, to expose the grift, the corruption, and the lies that have harmed millions across the globe. The corruption has spread on a massive scale as we are seeing it exposed more and more every day. The wife of Governor Newsom of California produces pornographic movies packaged in curriculums to be sold to the public schools across the country in the name of “equity” and “inclusion.” See The Representation Project agenda here. 5000 school districts across all the states are using these destructive tools in the classrooms. The Newsoms are not normal people.
The exhortation of Nehemiah in the Old Testament to Israel as they worked to rebuild and restore the ruined city and its walls is a word to us today….Nehemiah 4:14 “Do not be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, great and awesome, and fight for your brethren, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your houses.” That too is our mandate from Heaven. As Winston Churchill said, “Never, never, never give in.”
Nehemiah 2:17-18–Then I said to them, “You see the distress that we (Americans) are in, how Jerusalem lies waste, and its gates are burned with fire. Come and let us build the (spiritual) wall of Jerusalem (America), that we may no longer be a reproach.” And I told them of the hand of my God which had been good upon me, and also of the king’s words that he had spoken to me. So they said, “Let us rise up and build.” Then they set their hands to this good work. (Additions in parentheses are mine.)
