I have thought about this for several years….I have thought about the abundance of revelation and teaching, and the availability of the word of God in our nation. We have so much! Christians, the church has no excuse not to be strong in faith. We have so much available to us. But conversely, we have so many other options available, so much wealth, that we have made other choices. Such privilege, such abundance, such wealth and freedom we have experienced! Will we be able to pass it on to our children?

Periodically, I have thought about the early church…how much of the teaching we have today, did they have available to them? And yet, they did mighty acts in the name of Jesus. The word of God stayed alive, perhaps barely, all throughout the ages following the first century church’s existence…the light was dim (the devil came to devour), but occasionally revelation from Heaven was received by a man who was brave and strong and stirred things up, such as that obtained by Martin Luther that ‘the just shall live by faith” from the book of Romans….that revelation began the Reformation of the church of the middle ages.

When the Protestants protested the corruption in the church, they eventually had to break away, even with threats to their very lives. But the light continued to grow brighter and the kingdom of God increased. Is another Reformation underway? Society today itself certainly is in need of it. We have strayed far from the desires of God.

I marvel at the amount of teaching of the word of God that is available today to us….because of the technology of the internet, bluetooth, etc. I can listen to teaching from the word of God ALL DAY LONG if I wish. What a privilege! What a blessing to help keep my mind on the word of God and the things of God! How wonderful this is! We are so blessed.

This morning in the shower, these questions came back to me…and I began to see…what we are experiencing right now in this time of the unveiling of the Kingdom of God, I believe NO ONE has ever experienced before (except for Jesus), the increase in the knowledge and teaching of the word of God, the revelation that is being poured out in this hour from Heaven. It is all FOR such time as this, this time in history, this time in the Kingdom of God. This revealing of the word and truth of the Kingdom of God that Jesus demonstrated in everything He did, rebuking storms, cursing a fig tree, finding provision through a coin in a fish’s mouth, healing the sick, raising the dead, and casting out demons is coming so that all may see the truth of the kingdom of God.

Jesus told His disciples that greater things would be done by His followers….God’s current day church, listening to the teachers and prophets and apostles of that time AND this time, are getting the fullness of it all. The accumulation of all of the writing, the teachings, the preaching, the prophetic words since His time is for NOW, is for US who are living now. Receive everything from Heaven that you can…there is SO MUCH being revealed. At least, that’s how I”m seeing it.

We are in for the ride of our lives…the clash of good and evil. The reformation is coming as God’s people engage in the battle of the ages. The freedoms and privileges of the American people are being challenged as never before. We are being faced with this choice: will we be free people able to rule ourselves in this society by choosing good rather than evil? Or will we choose a tyranny that will take our freedoms, our property, and our children’s freedom and ability to prosper? The choice is ours. Let us pray we make the right choice.
